New Grand Prior of Albania Appointed

The Grand Priory of Albania has been active in these last years but, due to illness and other situations which could not be controlled, the appointment of the jurisdiction's Grand Prior had been postponed from one year to another. 

Finally, during the international Lazarite Symposium, Grand Prior-Elect the Chevalier Albert Gjoka was appointed as Grand Prior of the Grand Priory of Albania.

The Chevalier Gjoka was Mayor of the town of Manez, which was a former municipality in the Durrës County in western Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Durrës. He is an educator by profession and is very active in the social and political and commercial renessaince that Albania is undergoing at this moment prior to its joining the European Union.

The Supreme Grand Priory congratulates the Albanian team of Lazarites led by Confrere Albert and looks forward to initiatives and projects from this jurisdiction.
