United Grand Priories

Setting the 30th Anniversary Celebrations since the Founding of the Order in Stone

The Grand Officers of the Supreme Grand Priory of the Order, led by the Archduke of Austria, HIRH Sandor Habsburg-Lothringen, were the special guests of the Mayor and Council of Marsascala, in Malta in a lovely public ceremony in this quaint seaside town in the South of Malta. The Marsascala Local Council is the most democratically elected governmental entity in Europe with the highest percentage of its officers being members of the Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus. This was indeed the main reason why the location was chosen as the ideal venue to host the officially unveiling of a commemorative stone marking the 30th anniversary since the founding of the United Grand Priories of the Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem.

With 15,000 members worldwide in 71 different jurisdictions registered under the United Nations, our organisation has grown much since the first gathering of the Order in the church of St. Bartholomew the Great in Smithfield, London way back in 1995.
